Volume 1 contains 1850-1900 A to K and Volume 2 contains 1850-1900 L to Z. Volume 3 covers 1900-1920 A-Z. Most of the obituaries were abstracted from extant newspapers published between 1850 and 1920 mostly in the Maryland counties of Kent, Queen Anne's, Caroline and Talbot. Each volume has an "Index to Non-Subject Surnames."Arranged alphabetically by surname and sometimes giving date, location and cause of death, name of newspaper and obit date, names of family members, place of burial.Not all entries have complete information. |
